ICNC 2027 / Information

Visa

Check the entry requirements for Canada as soon as you plan to attend. Depending on your citizenship you will need either an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) or a visitor visa; some travellers need neither.

What you need

  • Visitor visa (temporary resident visa): required for citizens of many countries; applications can take several months, so apply early. Biometrics may be required.
  • eTA: required for visa-exempt travellers arriving by air (except US citizens); it is issued online, usually within minutes, for a small fee.
  • Use the official tool at canada.ca to find out which applies to you. Only apply through the official website.

Invitation letters

The organizers provide a personalised invitation letter to participants who have completed and paid their registration; request it through the registration system or by e-mail. The letter confirms your participation and, if applicable, your accepted presentation. It does not guarantee a visa, and the organizers cannot intervene with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada on your behalf.

If your visa is refused, the registration fee is refunded on presentation of the refusal letter, less any administrative charge stated in the registration conditions.
